This workshop helps individuals and organizations create agreement. Successful individuals and organizations use effective negotiating strategies. They create agreements that meet the needs of all parties and foster on-going productive relationships. Such agreements don't just happen. They result from the application of a unique set of skills - skills that can be learned through the Creative Negotiating Workshop. Our lives are controlled by agreements that we make over time. Agreements govern what work we will do, how much we will get paid, who we will work with, and when we take our vacations. Most of these agreements are informal and implicit while some are more formal and explicit. Something they all have in common is that they were all negotiated (or could have been negotiated) at some time. Every day we have opportunities to create new agreements or improve existing agreements. Do you recognize these opportunities? Do you know how to make the most of them?
The seminar consists of a combination of lectures and discussions, case analyses, simulations, and practice negotiations focusing on the process of negotiating. Participants will analyze and discuss actual negotiations from their own workplaces. A Creative Negotiating manual with reference material, structured worksheets and a bibliography are included.
Duration: 1, 2 or 3 day versions are available
Class Size: Up to 20 participants
